Media Manager of 2019 is Aleš Muhič

The title of the 2019 Media Manager of the Year, awarded at the SEMPL Media Trends Conference, will go to Aleš Muhič, a member of the management and the Sales Director at PRO PLUS.

At the end of the month the 21st SEMPL conference in Portorož will bring together more than 1300 business professionals and experts in advertising and marketing. For the fifth year in a row the conference will also award the title Media Manager of the Year. This is an award, which recognises and awards continuous and important contributions to the development of media and advertising environment in Slovenia. With this award the organisers would like to emphasise the importance of dynamic and future-oriented development of the media and communication profession in the country.

 

In 2019 the prestigious title will go to Aleš Muhič, a member of the management and the Sales Director at the company PRO PLUS, who dedicated his entire career to the media. More than 20 years ago he started as the Sales Manager at the company Kanal A. After the company merged with POP TV in 2000, he moved to PRO PLUS, where he has been successfully employing revolutionary marketing approaches and creating innovative formats, and collaborating in the strategic development of the largest and most successful media house in Slovenia. Among his numerous innovative projects, which he helped create and through which he successfully linked advertising agencies with the media, the Štartaj, Slovenija! project is among the most prominent; for it he received numerous Slovene and international awards. Mali Šef Slovenije with its internationally acclaimed format also joined innovative projects and successful collaborations. Today, Aleš is one of the best experts for the TV and multimedia market. He is a member of the EGTA board – the European Group of Television Advertising, is actively collaborating on creating modern guidelines for TV marketing and digital communication in the Slovene territory, and within different boards of the CME Group. Among the projects, which in his opinion recently set up new benchmarks, are the 2017 EuroBasket championship and this year’s Men’s European Volleyball Championships. In both projects he successfully defined the strategy together with the governing sports bodies and their partners.

 

Upon the naming for the Media Manager of the Year, Aleš Muhič stated:

All who inhabit the media world are aware that in the recent years this environment has been incredibly exposed to change. To be prepared for it, to adapt and find true opportunities requires total dedication. But such a thing can never depend only on one person, but rather on entire teams. At PRO PLUS, with our innovations, flexibility, new content formats, business and advertising approaches, we always went further and higher.

I am happy for the title, but I see it as a personal, professional and business challenge, where I must further advance the cooperation between our partners. For this we have a lot of energy, inspiration and enthusiasm.

 

The Media Manager of the Year was again selected by a panel of former title holders, joined by renowned representatives of the industry and the organiser.

 

In spite of the fact that as a member of the management and Sales Director at the largest media house in Slovenia he has been setting trends on our market, he does not rest on laurels. Aleš Muhič with the team from PRO PLUS and his own sales team is responsible for numerous new, successful marketing models and formats in the field of multimedia, which set new benchmarks in Slovenia and abroad. He is a great authority on world trends in the media business and the Slovene advertising space; with his innovative, dynamic approach and excellent results he sets high business standards. In his long and successful career he has had a strong influence in the media and communications industry, so we can safely say that the company of awarded media managers would not have been perfect without him.

Aleš Muhič will receive his award at the ceremony at the end of the first conference day on Thursday, 28th November, 2019. At the same time the organisers will also bestow the Sempler awards for the Best Media Strategies of the Year in the Adriatic region, and another TOP SEMPL award Media Star of the Future, which will also be awarded for the fifth year in the row.
